The STEC Serotypes FLUO kit is intended for the identification of the serotypes O26,O103, O145, O104, O157 and O111 in food samples using multiplex Real-Time PCR. The kit complies with ISO 13136 requirements.
STEC Serotypes FLUO kit
Description
Shiga toxin producing Escherichia coli (STEC) are a group of strains of the bacterium E. coli responsible for acute gastroenteritis and severe forms of infection, such as hemorrhagic colitis and haemolytic uraemic syndrome (HUS). The kit consists of three different amplification mixes that allow the identification of the Big-6 STEC serotypes: O145-O104-O26-O103-O111-O157. Each mix has an Internal Amplification Control (IAC) that assesses the efficiency of each amplification reaction by checking the presence of inhibitory factors and ensuring reliability of negative results.
