Description
EMD is a serine-rich inner nuclear membrane protein, providing structural function and transcriptional regulation in the cell nucleus. Emery–Dreifuss muscular dystrophy (EDMD) is caused by mutations in the EMD gene and is classified as a genetic disease part of laminopathies. The EMD gene amplification kit for direct sequencing is intended for the simultaneous amplification of all exons included in human EMD gene. After PCR, all amplicons can be easily sequenced with M13 universal primers.
