The STEC FLUO Detection Kit is designed for the detection of shigatoxin-producing Escherichia coli virulence genes stx1, stx2 and eae according to ISO TS 13136 in a single tube Real-Time PCR.
The detection of the virulence genes can be obtained in only few hours following bacterial enrichment.
STEC FLUO Detection kit
Description
Shiga toxin producing Escherichia coli (STEC) are a group of strains of the bacterium E. coli responsible for acute gastroenteritis and severe forms of infection, such as hemorrhagic colitis (bloody diarrhoea, hemorrhagic colitis) and haemolytic uraemic syndrome (HUS). The STEC FLUO Detection kit allows the detection in food samples of the virulence genes eae and stx1/2 (included variant f).
