The DIA-check MVV/CAEV ELISA Test is an Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) intended for the detection of antibodies directed against Maedi-visna virus (MVV) or caprine arthritis encephalitis virus (CAEV) in sheep and goat serum samples, respectively. The test is designed to be used for the diagnosis and management of CAE/MV infections within herds, for the following purposes:
- Demonstrate freedom from infection in a defined population (country/zone/compartment/herd)
- Demonstrate freedom from infection in individual animal prior to movement
